The Boogiemen (now Boogeymen) began as Kevin Heckeler's home recording project in 2001.
Over that time several collaborators and side projects have come and gone that helped define the distinct Boogeymen sound. This has resulted in experimentation with different genres including blues, progressive rock, metal, alternative, and even some electronica. The project's main goal has been to avoid any two songs sounding the same, while keeping a relaxed atmosphere in the writing and recording process.
The future for the Boogeymen is quite exciting. Long time friend and collaborator Scott Watts has taken a lead role in writing the lyrics and performing vocals for a soon-to-be-released pop concept album about love and loss. Preview of those songs can be heard towards the bottom on our music page. Join us on Facebook for the latest news on the next album, tentively set for release sometime in 2017.
